What is Ju Jitsu?
Ju Jitsu is mentioned in the history books as far back as the 11th century as the martial art used by the Japanese Samurai. It was developed as a style of unarmed combat to be used in battle to allow a Samurai warrior to defend against an attacker, or attackers, much stronger or larger opponents.
Ju Jitsu Today
Ju Jitsu today differs slightly from the Japanese Warriors in its past focusing on self-defence rather than the battle field. But many of its grounding principles remain; Respect, Resilience, Focus and Technical prowess are key to the development of a good martial artist.
